Flowers Foods Specialty Group, Tucker, Ga., introduced Mrs. Freshley's 100-calorie snack cakes — Mini Creme-Filled Chocolate Cupcakes and Mini Blueberry Muffins. These snack cakes meet the 35/10/35 nutritional guidelines set for schools, requiring less than 35 percent calories from total fat, less than 10 percent calories from saturated fat and less than 35 percent calories from sugar. Mrs. Freshley's mini snack cakes are available in single-serve and multi-serve packages.

Caroline's Desserts, Redmond, Wash., announced the national roll-out of its premium, all-natural line of Krispettes — crisp rice cereal squares made from organic brown rice cereal, chocolate, fruits and nuts. Krispettes are available in 17 flavors, including Triple Chocolate Nirvana, Mint Everest, Peanut Casanova and The Great Almondo. The product is certified gluten-free, and is free of trans fats, preservatives and artificial colors and flavors. Krispettes are packaged in a self-merchandising POS display caddie that holds 12 individual Krispettes. Suggested retail price is $4.99.

The Eli's Cheesecake Co., Chicago, introduced Cheesecake Couture®, a line of artisan cheesecakes. Flavors include Saigon Cinnamon Chocolate — a blend of Belgian dark chocolate, caramel mousse and Saigon cinnamon imported from Vietnam; Blood Orange Champagne — made with real blood orange juice and puree; Burnt Caramel Flan — a blend of sweet custardy flavor with a toasted almond crust; and Triple Fresh Cheese — a blend of hand-crafted ricotta, limited production farmstead chevre, mascarpone and cultured cream cheese with a swirl of lemon curd. Eli's cheesecakes are made with high-quality, all-natural ingredients. Suggested retail price per slice for foodservice customers is $4.50.

Sara Lee, Downers Grove, Ill., introduced Wholesome Indulgence Bakery Bars to in-store bakeries nationwide to help leverage the growing breakfast and snack segments. The uncut bars allow bakeries to sell individual-size grab-and-go bars, small breakfast packs or larger variety packs. Each 2.5-oz. serving provides 3 g dietary fiber, 7 g protein, 300 calories or less, 7 g fat or less, 0 g trans fat and is a good source of calcium. Flavors include cranberry almond, maple apple pecan and mocha latte. Suggested retail price for a 2.5 oz. bar is $1.29 to $1.59.
