Ultragrain White Whole Wheat starts with a specially grown variety of white wheat with a sweeter, milder taste and lighter color than traditional red wheat. Then it is processed with a patent-pending milling technique that retains whole-grain nutrients like fiber, B vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, while delivering the finer granulation and texture similar to traditional refined white flours. This is the first time a milling technique has been used to retain natural nutrients in a refined flour format. Together, the wheat and the milling process create Ultragrain—a whole wheat flour with a taste and texture similar to popular refined white flour products.

Ultragrain is an ideal ingredient for a number of different foods that generally use refined flour—from breads, to crackers, cookies, pasta, pizza dough and even pastries. Ultragrain provides the whole grain nutrition that consumers demand without sacrificing texture or taste.

Ultragrain is one of many whole grain products in ConAgra Mills' extensive portfolio. Sustagrain® Barley is another recent development from ConAgra Mills. This identity-preserved waxy barley variety is the first whole grain product that is both naturally high in dietary fiber and low in starch, resulting in a lower glycemic index and lower carbohydrate count. Sustagrain delivers two to three times the amount of fiber with half of the starch. Sustagrain is high in antioxidants, increases satiety and has the lowest cholesterol of all cereal grains—it's ideal for formulating healthy products.
