Netherlands-based CSM announced that it expects to complete the closure of its H.C. Brill production facility in Elk Grove Village, Ill., by the second quarter of 2007. The plant closure is part of the company's move to optimize the supply chain at CSM Bakery Supplies North America.

The production facility manufactures frozen dough, fillings and icings under the "Karp's" brand. Production from Elk Grove Village will be transferred to other Brill manufacturing facilities in a phased schedule over the next 12 months.
