American Harvest Baking Co. (AHB), Cherry Hill, N.J., entered the retail bakery business with its recent acquisition of The Classic Cake Co. AHB manufactures artisan breads and desserts that are distributed nationally. The Classic Cake Co., in business since 1982, has two retail locations in Cherry Hill and Voorhees, N.J. Classic Cake specializes in cakes, pies, pastries, cookies and specialty desserts, and AHB looks to further expand the bakery’s selection.

At one time, Classic Cake Co. had six retail locations in the Philadelphia area.
