The bakery asked customers to vote for their favorite gingerbread building constructed by different employees.

"Each year we pick a theme for our gingerbread house contest, and our staff donates their time to create the display," said Susan Lozier Robert, owner of Frederick’s Pastries. "It’s a friendly competition where we ask customers to vote for their favorite gingerbread house and we award first, second and third place to the winning employee. We also give prizes randomly to twelve customers who cast their votes, so everyone joins in the fun."

Frederick’s Pastries specializes in cakes and pastries and recently opened a second retail location in Bedford, N.H.
