Europain readies events to spotlight top baker skills
Home to the Coupe du Monde de La Boulangerie (World Cup of
Baking), Eruopain 2008 will feature a number of other events,
including a frozen desserts competition, a sugar crafts competition
and chocolate demonstrations.
Europain organizers expect more than 80,000 visitors; more than
50 percent of whom come from the bakery, pastry and confectionery
trades. The other half of attendees are involved with restaurants,
distribution, industrial baking and training. Europain 2005 drew
visitors from more than 143 countries, with the largest contingent
(60 percent) hailing from Europe.
