Rudis sales increase 43%, set to move into new facility
Due to increased demand for its line of organic products, Boulder, Colo.-based Rudi’s Organic Bakery will move to a new 61,000-sq.-ft. facility located adjacent to its Boulder facility. This new bakery will corral the company’s administrative staff, bakery production, distribution and storage under one roof.
Gary Sebeck, Rudi’s Organic Bakery’s president and chief operating officer, said the company’s sales grew 42% in 2003 and 43% in 2004. "With those sales trends, our move can’t come soon enough, he said. "But, our crowded conditions are a good problem to have."
Rudi’s Organic bakery operates two facilities, both located in Boulder. The new facility will more than double the capacity of its existing plants. The company expects to move into the new facility by the second half of 2005.
Rudi’s Organic bakery manufactures an extensive line of certified organic breads. These products are distributed throughout the United States in natural food stores and mainstream supermarkets. The company launched a line of Whole Grains & Fiber breads in November.
