Bloom stores expand bakeries
Food Lion, Salisbury, N.C., is expanding its Bloom brand to include redesigned bakery-delis. The Bloom concept launched last year with five test stores. "Even though we are making some changes, and will continue to make enhancements, the Bloom concept remains true: to provide a thoughtful, straightforward, hassle-free shopping experience customers will enjoy," said Robin Johnson, director of brand development and marketing, in a published release.
According to the company, the Bloom enhancements are a direct response to its customers seeking more fresh foods. The redesigned bakery-delis will offer an expanded line of more than 25 varieties of artisan breads and 100 varieties of specialty cheese and freshly prepared sandwiches.
Bloom stores are located in Charlotte, Harrisburg, Mint Hill and Mooresville, N.C.
