Sugar-free bakery under new owners

Circle Peak Capital, New York City, acquired Hill & Valley Inc. a manufacturer of baked sugar free and no-sugar-added sweet goods, formerly known as Nancy's Pies. Under the terms of the agreement, Circle Peak and senior management will recapitalize the company from its founding Coin family.
George Coin is retiring after building the company into one of the largest suppliers of sugar free and no-sugar-added bakery products to the in-store bakery segment since 1988.
Hill & Valley, based in Rock Island, Ill., manufactures cakes, pies, cookies and brownies, which are sweetened using sugar substitutes derived from corn and other natural ingredients primarily for diabetic and diet-conscious consumers.
