Trans fats coverage will be epic

After the low-carbohydrate craze, the baking industry probably thought they were done with bad press for at least a couple of years. Unfortunately, trans-fat coverage looks like it will generate just as much publicity, if not more, than the low-carbohydrate craze.

The slant of this coverage is key to the baking industry. Ever since Oreo cookies were sued in an irresponsible public relations stunt, bakery foods have been the poster child for trans-fat filled bakery foods.

I will be keeping a close eye on this coverage to see how bakery foods come out. I will post the articles I find in this forum, and encourage you to send me an email at kseiz@penton.com with any coverage you see about trans fats.
