  • Vitalicious, New York, introduced Banana Nut VitaTops, the newest addition to its all natural VitaTops line. Each 2-oz. serving contains 100 calories, 5 g of fiber, 5 g of protein, 8 g of whole grains, 15 vitamins and minerals and only 2 g of unsaturated fat. Other VitaTops flavors include: Deep Chocolate, Golden Corn, BlueBran, CranBran, MultiBran, AppleBerry, Triple Chocolate Chunk, Chocolate Fig, Double Chocolate Dream, Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip, Dark Chocolate Pomegranate, sugar-free Banana Nut and sugar-free Velvety Chocolate.

  • Nature's Path Foods USA, Blaine, Wash., introduced Nature's Path Organic Peanut Choco' granola bars made from crunchy organic peanuts and organic oats and topped with a chocolatey drizzle. Each serving provides a “good source” of whole grains, is low in sodium at 125 mg per bar, and contains peanuts rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E.

  • Rustic Crust, Pittsfield, N.H., launched its new all natural, thin pizza crust. The 10 oz. crispy Italian thin pizza crust is guaranteed shelf stable and ready in minutes.

  • Alvarado St. Bakery, Petaluma, Calif., launched California Style Complete Protein Bread. This 100 percent certified organic bread, which is made from sprouted wheat and sprouted legumes, is a complete, slow-carb, vegetarian protein source.

  • Immaculate Baking Co., Greenville, S.C., launched biscuits and scones in 16-oz. refrigerated dough packs. The line includes buttermilk biscuits and cinnamon chip, blueberry and cranberry orange scones. Immaculate's products are made with all natural ingredients and contain no saturated fats, hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, or artificial flavors or colors. Refrigerated dough is reportedly a $2.4 billion category with biscuits representing 26 percent of the total category at $620 million in sales.
