Shuttleworth Inc., Huntington, Ind., appointed Breton C. Ranc to the Shuttleworth board of directors. Mr. Ranc holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Indiana University.
Flowers Foods, Thomasville, Ga., named Mary Krier vice president of communications and corporate responsibility and D. Keith Hancock managing director of communications. Krier joined Flowers in 1990 and served as communications manager and director before being promoted to vice president of communications in 2004. Hancock previously worked at UC/Synergetic, Bank of America and FirstEnergy Corp.
Colin Simmonds was appointed regional president of AB Mauri Fleischmann’s, Chesterfield, Mo., the North American division of AB Mauri.
The Institute of Food Technologists, Chicago, selected Margaret Lawson as the winner of the 2010 Calvert L. Willey Distinguished Service Award, which honors individuals who provide continuing, meritorious and imaginative service to IFT. Skip Rosskam was elected IFT Fellow for his contributions in the commercialization of innovative flavors. Lawson is vice president of science and innovation for D.D. Williamson & Co. Inc., Louisville, Ky., and Skip Rosskam is president and C.O.O. for David Michael & Co., Philadelphia.
